Those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer are once again upon us but, that won’t keep us off the dance floor.  We have some very cool dance parties coming up that you won’t want to miss.

On July 26^th the ever popular “County Fair/Ice Cream Social” dance returns.  In addition to adding ice cream this year, there will be a few new twists. Butch Phillips will play a great variety of music to keep us dancing through the evening. So get your best county fair attire out of moth balls and join the fun. 

Bill Dimmitt will play beach inspired ballroom tunes at our “Beach Ball” to be held on August 23^rd.  There will be lots of colorful decorations to put you in the mood.  Wear your favorite beach outfit (no bikinis please)! 

Our Anniversary Ball celebrating our eighth year of dancing as a USA Dance Chapter was a wonderful evening full of good food and surprises.  Many thanks to all of you who brought food contributions.  Butch and Vickie showed off their talent with a Viennese Waltz Exhibition, however, the big surprise of the night was Hiede and Steve's Samba/Cha Cha routine done to Celine Dion's, "I'm Alive."  No one knew they would be performing, especially Butch.  The best thing of all was that Hiede choregraphed the whole thing!!!!  Great job Hiede!

Be sure to mark your calendar for our upcoming National Ballroom Dance Week events.  We’re looking for some volunteers to do a short dance demonstration at either our Showcase Dance on September 20^th or at our NBDW Dance at the Mall on September 27^th.  Let Deb Piotte or myself know if you’re interested.
